The History of Lexington Homes

Founded in Lexington, Mississippi in August of 2004, Lexington Homes, Inc. is a builder of HUD Code Manufactured Housing. The company was started by individuals who have many years of experience in the industry including production, wholesale and retail sales, and retail financing. Their purpose in founding the company was to provide quality built homes at an affordable price point, and also to create fulfilling employment for the area’s workforce.

The company produces both single and multi section HUD homes and has also built HUD and Modular homes for the Federal Emergency Management Agency as well as for the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency. Lexington Homes has been cited for their quick response in providing housing for hurricane victims as well as being named “Manufacturer of The Year” by the Mississippi Manufactured Housing Association.

Currently the company has been recognized as producing the best selling home model in the state of Mississippi and is also one of the Top Ten producers of housing in the nation. By being centrally located in Mississippi, the company is able to affordably ship to all points in the Southeast.

In 2007, Lexington Homes qualified as an Energy Star certified manufacturer and have since produced almost 500 Energy Star homes. This year we are being honored at Energy Star’s annual convention in Las Vegas. There, we will receive the Leadership in Housing Award that is given to manufacturing plants that have provided “outstanding contributions to protect the environment”.

Lexington Homes, Inc. currently employs over 300 people and builds approximately 50 homes per week. They are represented by over 80 retailers in 8 states.
